Everyone's had the weekend off, so nothing new to report.
Work is progressing at a good pace with the bulk of the winter maintenance jobs completed. The last valve has gone back into place and the valve motion has been completely re-assembled. A repair to one of the damper doors was also completed today, the door having been slightly warped, it was straightened, cleaned up and given a fresh coat of paint before being re-fitted. The large rear toolboxes from the tender were given a good clean and re-paint. The brick arch got some attention towards the end of the day, with some of the build up trimmed off and a new concreate front edge formed onto it. The coach has also been getting some attention, not only getting a good clean on the outside, but repairs to one of the door locks and also the refurbished gauges from the gaurds compartment refitted.

Business was back to normal this weekend with another good turnout. Three of the four valves are now back in place, the one remaining still receiving some attention before its refitting. Once that's complete the rest of the valve motion can be re-assembled. The inside cylinder cladding has been re-newed and tied up. The boiler was refilled and suitably dosed with water treatment, while the tender doser has been removed for a cleanout. Plenty of cleaning has continued particularly inside the the frames where things tend to get very mucky. Also Graham has been touching up parts of the paintwork thay have become worn or chipped.
